Full-Time Missionary Staff & Apprentices

Alan & Carole Brooks

The Brooks family serves at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.

Alan comes to MAG with over 40 years of General Aviation experience as an Airframe & Powerplant mechanic (A&P); an Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine Certified Flight Instructor (CFIIME); a Charter Pilot; and Corporate Pilot.  Alan will serve in MAG’s Flight Operations and Flight Training departments, training and mentoring young missionary pilots for service with MAG as well as with other mission organizations around the world.  Carole, having worked as an assistant in Office Administration for several years prior to becoming a Stay-at-Home Mom for three daughters, will serve on MAG’s Administrative Support team.

Both Alan and Carole have served for many years in a wide variety of ministry roles in their local church setting.  They now look forward to using their passion for people and for gospel to help the MAG Team bring the hope of Jesus Christ to remote people throughout Central America.


Steven Brumfield

Steven is serving in the MAG Training Department in Burlington, North Carolina, as part of a pilot-mechanic apprenticeship program.  He is actively supporting MAG ministry programs while being trained for career missionary service abroad.

Steven is a licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic and is currently progressing through the MAG flight training curriculum toward the goal of becoming a fully-qualified Missionary Pilot-Mechanic.


Stephen & Candace Crothers

The Crothers family serves at MAG’s Rus Rus, Honduras base.

Stephen has worked for several years in the aviation community as an aircraft mechanic and professional flight instructor and has completed an aviation maintenance internship at MMS Aviation in Coshocton, OH in preparation for transitioning to full-time service with MAG.  Both Crothers come with a medical backgrounds as well, Candice as a Registered Nurse and Stephen as a former Army combat medic and E.R. Technician.

Their combined skills in aviation and medicine as well as their heart for ministering to the spiritual need of people make them a vital part of MAG’s medical mission in Central America.  The Crothers family is currently deployed to Honduras to launch a new country-wide Air Ambulance Program and to engage remote villages with the gospel.

Stephen is an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII) and, licensed as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic.


Sean & Deb Donnelly

The Donnelly family serves at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.  

As President and CEO, Sean develops and oversees all MAG’s international flight and ministry programs and the partnerships that sustain them. He also leads MAG’s Executive Management and Development Teams.  Deb teaches at a nearby Christian school and assists MAG with hospitality and coordinating housing for incoming staff and apprentices.


Sean is an ordained minister in full-time ministry since 1997. He served as Senior Pastor of two churches before transitioning to full-time missionary service in 2010, and is rated as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI, Gold Seal) with 3800 flight hours.
 


Sean & Carmen Garrigan

The Garrigans are currently serving at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.

As MAG’s Lead Flight Instructor and Flight Department Manager, Sean oversees the MAG flight training department and prepares missionary pilots for field deployment.  Sean is a graduate of the Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Miramar College in San Diego and attended San Diego Christian College.  He is an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII) and is licensed as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic.

Carmen serves as MAG’s Mobilization and Pastoral Care Manager, ministering to staff and apprentice families during their time in Burlington and, working to mobilize missionary candidates for field service. She received her B.A. in Spanish from Pepperdine University and went on to Princeton Theological Seminary for her Masters in Divinity.  Carmen is an ordained Presbyterian Pastor. 


Scott & Jessica Grote

The Grote family currently serves at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.

As Director of Aircraft Maintenance, Scott is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and inspection of all MAG aircraft whether here in the US or overseas in MAG’s field programs. Scott completed a missionary aviation maintenance apprenticeship at MMS Aviation in Coshocton, Ohio in 2004 before taking a staff position there as an aircraft maintenance supervisor. That experience carries over to MAG as Scott trains and mentors pilot-mechanic apprentices preparing for missionary field service.  Scott is an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot and licensed as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with an Inspection Authorization (IA).

Jessica serves as MAG’s Financial Services Manager, and is responsible for all day-to-day accounting, donor relations, payables, and missionary payroll.  As part of MAG’s Hospitality and Member Care Teams, she also mentors and encourages other staff and apprentice wives as they go through training and prepare to enter field service.


John & Mollie Harmon

John serves at MAG headquarters in Burlington, NC as the ministry’s Chief Financial Officer.

After 3 terms as a missionary pilot-mechanic in Brazil, John served as CFO for JAARS for a number of years prior to moving on to Director of Finance and Treasurer at Mission to the World. John also serves as a board member with the Spokane Turbine Center.

John earned a degree in Biblical Studies and Missions at Columbia Int'l University before receiving his pilot and mechanic certificates at Moody Aviation. He later earned his MBA degree with an emphasis in International Finance at University of South Carolina. Mollie is a Registered Nurse.


Brad & Crystal Hoblit

The Hoblit family serves at MAG’s Rus Rus, Honduras base.

The Hoblits came to MAG headquarters from MMS Aviation in Ohio as part of the MAG/MMS Pilot-Mechanic Apprenticeship Program.  Brad is the second missionary to graduate from that 5 year program.

In response to God’s call to use aviation as a tool to bring compassion and the gospel of Jesus Christ to remote peoples, Brad and Crystal accepted the invitation to join the MAG team in 2019.  The Hoblit family is currently deployed to Honduras to launch a new country-wide Air Ambulance Program and, to engage remote villages with gospel-centered discipleship.

Brad is an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and licensed as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with an Inspection Authorization (IA).


BRyan & MarIA MARTIN

The Martins are serving in the MAG Training Department in Burlington, North Carolina on loan from MMS Aviation in Ohio, as part of a pilot-mechanic apprenticeship program.  They are actively supporting MAG ministry programs while being trained for career missionary service abroad.

Bryan is a licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic and is currently progressing through the MAG flight training curriculum toward the goal of becoming a fully-qualified Missionary Pilot-Mechanic.


Meghan Stearns

Meghan serves at Headquarters in Burlington, NC.

Meghan has worked for almost a decade in the professional ministry world, serving in several churches across the country. Meghan and her husband Devon are creatives who have a deep desire to serve the kingdom wherever they are. Currently, Meghan is using her gifts to run the Communications Department at MAG, creating all content, newsletters, communication, and fundraising endeavors.

Meghan has training in social media management and a work background of creative and mission church work.


Keith & Jenny Woockman

The Woockmans are currently serving at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, North Carolina.

Having completed the MAG/MMS Apprenticeship Program in 2021, Keith and Jenny are now contributing to the success of MAG medical and gospel ministry programs abroad by providing critical support here at home in the areas of aircraft maintenance, team support, logistics, admin, and discipleship.

Keith is an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot and licensed as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic.
